Members who want to communicate with Medical Network by e-mail must consider all of the following issues before sending an e-mail message:

  1. E-mail at Medical Network can be forwarded, intercepted, printed, or stored by others.
  2. E-mail is a convenience and is not appropriate for emergencies or time-sensitive issues.
  3. Highly sensitive or personal information should not be communicated by e-mail.
  4. If using an employers e-mail system, that employer has the right to access any e-mail on their system.
  5. Staff other than health care providers may read and process your e-mail.
  6. Clinically relevant messages may be documented in the medical record.
  7. Medical Network shall not be held liable for information lost or misdirected due to technical errors or failures.
